Hola, Hello
Soy la Dra. Fany Loachamín (Odontóloga) graduada
en la Universidad Central del Ecuador hace aproximadamente 10
años.I am Dr. Fany Loachamin (Odontology).
I graduated from the University of Central Ecuador approximately
10 years ago.
Vivo en la Parroquia de Cotogchoa, Cantón Rumiñahui,
Provincia de Pichincha; situada al sur de la ciudad de Quito que
es la capital del Ecuador a unos 35 Km. aproximadamente.
I live in the Cotogchoa Parish, situated in Canton Rumiñahui,
a province of Pichincha; located approximately about 35 kilometers
to the south of the city of Quito the capital of Ecuador.
Es un valle muy hermoso tiene un clima calido, su gente es amable
y la mayor parte de la población somos católicos.
It is a beautiful valley with a warm climate, its people are
kind and the majority of the population is Catholic.
 Durante
el año de medicatura rural se iniciaron mis primeras experiencias
profesionales, que la realicé en un pueblo llamado Pacto
situado al Noroccidente de la ciudad de Quito a unos 100 Km. de
distancia.
During my year of rural medicine, I initiated my first professional
experiences, which I did in a town called Pacto situated Northwest
from the city of Quito, a distance of approximately 100 kilometers.
En este lugar está el Sub Centro de Salud, al cual pertenecen
muchos barrios unos más distantes que otros, a quienes
debíamos prestar atención médica odontológica;
nos trasladábamos a veces a pie, a caballo teníamos
que cruzar ríos con puentes de madera; en ocasiones todo
un día, una verdadera aventura.
 In
this place is the Health Sub Center, to which many neighborhoods
belong with some more distant than others, most of the time we
had to walk or ride a horse in order to reach many of the people
that required dental attention; we had to cross rivers with wooden
bridges, in many occasions it took all day, a real adventure.
La verdad es que ahí sentí y vi las necesidades
de esas personas no sólo las dolencias físicas sino
también de otras urgencias como son los servicios básicos
de agua, luz alcantarillado, obras de infraestructura.
The truth is this is where I felt and saw the necessities of
those people, not only the physical pains, but also of other urgencies
such as basic services like water, lighting, drainage and building
infrastructure.
Por ello nació en mí ese espíritu de servicio
de ayuda en algo al prójimo que realmente lo necesita.
These gave birth to my spirit of service and help to peers who
really need it.
Ahora laboro en un Hospital Público a donde acuden pacientes
de toda índole social y económica es una experiencia
tan buena dentro de mi carrera profesional.
I now work in a Public Hospital that caters primarily to this
social and economic sector; it is a very good and rewarding experience
within my professional career.
Mis anhelos acerca de nuestro proyecto es enfocarnos a esa realidad
con las personas que realmente se merecen una ayuda, tratar de
cumplir con esa misión a corto ó a largo plazo.
My wish pertaining to this project is for all to be able to focus
on the reality of the people that really deserve the help, and
to try to fulfill that mission either in a short or long term. |
